What 'All-Inclusive' Really Means in a Noida PG (And the 7 Hidden Charges to Ask About)
There is a specific kind of frustrating that hits a parent on the 5th of the month, opening the first PG invoice. "All-inclusive" was the line that closed the deal in May. June's bill has six separate charges. Let's fix that.
The clean test for all-inclusive
If you can answer all of these with a single number, it is all-inclusive:
- How much will I pay each month, including everything I will use in normal life?
- What's not in that number?
If the answer to (2) is a long list, it isn't all-inclusive. It's a base rent.

Three exact questions to ask before paying the deposit
- "Show me a previous resident's invoice, name redacted." If they can't, walk.
- "Is the room's electricity sub-metered? At what rate per unit?" If sub-metered, ask for the cap.
- "List every charge that is NOT in the rent." Make them say it out loud.
